On the afternoon of May 20th 2100 at the Northwest entrance to New Bottsford, two guys and a woman were wanting to enter the town. When approached by security to see their bags they refused to a search. Moments later, when security signaled for backup the female holding on to a backpack with her right hand made a dash for City Hall as the other two began to struggle with security forces. Security on the roof of city hall shot the woman in the head killing her immediately. However, as security struggled to hold down the other two, one of them pulled a cord on one of the bags setting off an explosion that took them and 71 others with them. New Bottsford went into high alert and barred any access inside to outsiders until two months later when the entrances had more trained security officers with even stricter search policies than before including full body pat downs and inspections of everything before passing though the gates.
To this day, it was widely believed that the woman was running to blow-up either city hall or the market. The full extent of the motive of the attack remains unknown but with other attacks occurring soon afterward by the Bandits of the Hood, the three people involved are believed to be part of that faction while rumors that the The Horsemen of the Apocalypse were the ones behind the bombing.
